Why make your next event a green event?
Historically, special events have been wasteful and harmful to the environment. Because issues like global warming
& rising fuel prices effect all of us, many leisure and corporate groups are becoming more aware of the importance
of green events and the greater impact they have on our planet.  By partnering with other green companies, Weaver
Professional Events promotes the use of low and no emission transportation, organic and locally grown fare, fair-
trade coffees, biodegradable supplies and cleaners, composting and/ or the donating of excess food, recycling all
glass, plastic, and paper, and the reuse of materials whenever possible. We are committed to passing the “green
bug” on to our customers and community.
Why Green?
How Special Events are Going Green
to Help the Environment:
1. Recycling of paper, cardboard, plastic, glass
and aluminum
2. Using local and organic catering whenever
possible
3. Using low or no emissions vehicles to transport
groups
4. Donating unserved food to local food banks or
shelters
5. Minimizing water use
6. Suggesting the use of china plates or
biodegradable plates
7. Composting food scraps instead of putting
them in the trash
8. Reusing items such as decorations and center
pieces
9. Using biodegradable, non-toxic cleaning agents
